Dr. Michael Eskander

Dedicated to exceptional endodontic care, Dr. Michael Eskander earned both his dental degree and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UT Health San Antonio, driven by research in pain mechanisms and regenerative endodontics. After completing his endodontic specialty training at UT Health San Antonio and serving as adjunct clinical faculty, he brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and clinical excellence to deliver evidence-based, patient-focused root canal treatment with precision and comfort.

Dr. Michael Eskander earned his dental degree and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Texas Health San Antonio. Before his dental training, he became passionate about endodontics through his research on pain mechanisms, stem cell biology, and regenerative endodontic procedures. After completing his dual-degree training, he completed his endodontic specialty training at the UT Health San Antonio. Since finishing residency, he has served as adjunct clinical faculty in the predoctoral endodontics clinic at UT Health San Antonio and continued to conduct translational endodontic research. He worked as an endodontist in San Antonio before joining Sigma Dental Specialists.

Dr. Eskander grew up in Coppell, Texas before attending college at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and is active in conducting clinical research. He enjoys teaching dental students and his patients about endodontics, and he is committed to providing the best evidence-based treatment for his patients.

Dr. Eskander is a board-certified endodontist and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and the American Dental Association. He is an avid Cowboys fan and enjoys outdoor activities with his two dogs.
